Jim's 1949 International KB-2
This is an old Idaho farm truck that has been sitting for years. Click here to see what we started with.
The first item on the agenda was replacing the rear axle with a Ford 9-inch. Then we built mounts to install the new engine and transmission. The interior is in the process of being redone (it still needs carpet and headliner), and we were even able to use the original shifter stick to make the interior look original. The brakes were redone with the addition of a new dual reservoir master cylinder, and the original radiator was rebuilt. Tail lights from an early Chevy truck were installed. Now the truck is running and roadworthy. A repaint is in the plans, but for the time being, Jim will be driving it around the way it is. The "barn-find" look is very popular right now, and quite a few people have suggested leaving the truck looking just like it does!!
